“Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do." -Jesus (June 19, 2013 at 9:01am)

I can NOT stand the prejudism in our society or mare judgement. And I am talking about this case among the members of the LDS Church. (Because  we are the ones who have more accountability for the knowledge we have gained.

We are taught to keep the commandments. That is good :) But have you ever thought how are you keeping them ? Is that just what you do from fear , from the Mormons around you , as a habit of a Mormon way of living, or because you know why you should keep them , you understand the purpose of them.

In one of Joseph Smith sermons where he talks about the immortal Intelligence, I read this :
".... God himself, finding he was in the midst of spirits and glory, because he was more intelligent, saw proper to institute laws whereby the rest could have a privilege to advance like himself. The relationship we have with God places us in a situation to advance in knowledge. He has power to institute laws , to instruct the weaker intelligence, that they may be exalted with Himself...."

So I was thinking about how Intelligence is love , is light , is knowledge. Heavenly Father was more intelligent because His love for all of us was perfect. So this is why the two greatest commandments are :

36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt lovethe Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." (Matthew 22:36-40)

Why am I writing this note today, it is because I have received recently the impression in so many occasions, that we do not really pay attention to these two commandments. We try to be good girls and  good boys through keeping the other commandments and try to justify not keeping  the first and  especially the second one with the idea that are so hard to reach , it is hard for us to be perfected in them. Like it is so hard to have charity.
No sin can be justified! When we do not keep this commandments we will never be able to be exalted like our Father in Heaven.

I invite you to ask yourselves these questions:
1. Am I keeping the first Great Commandment of loving my Lord, My God ?
2.How do i show love to Him/ (usually the answer for this question is :by obedience, keeping His commandments )
3.How often do I communicate with my Father in Heaven ?
  a. Do I talk to Him often through prayer?
  b. Do I allow Him to speak to me through the scriptures ?
Because He loves us and is worried for us in this world full of tribulations, He has a need to communicate with us daily , because He wants to keep us, He cares and wants to live one day with His lovely children like we want, too.
Our Father has not counselled us to pray and read scriptures every day. He has commanded us!
So yeah people, did you know this commandments are also really important for showing Him love and allowing Him to expand our souls in His Love and Wisdom? ...

Second Great Commandment :
Love thy Neighbor as thyself.
It starts loving ourselves. Respecting ourselves.
Have you heard the word paradigm ? With very simple words it is the case of us natural men watching the world with the eyes of the world we have created in our lives. So if we are hypocrites we think and accuse everybody to be , too. If we are disappointed from something we tend to think every other case will disappoint us the same way.  If we are insecure in some things with ourselves we also tend to see the same weaknesses in others. If we are liars, we tend to live a lie and not really trust anybody. If we do not lie than we are so naive of thinking lie does not exist.  There are a lot of examples. The idea is that if we are mean with ourselves, or harsh with ourselves, we will be with others, because the measure of how we live in the world it is that world we have created in our minds and hearts.

But loving our neighbor does not mean just the next door neighbor but every single soul that surrounds us in different places , no matter who they are and how they are.

I actually felt inspired writing this "Message of Love" because of my recent observations in different articles and from every day situations and experiences where the people who think are better try through their prejudice to diminish other people's values.
I have noticed how everybody is so caught up in judging and hating what other people do, wear, say etc.
I don't really think the Prophets advice and tell us to wear for example modestly and live righteous lives so we can compare ourselves and show off our standards and perfect life we have.
They do that so we can live in such a way also to be an example for those who do not know.
Jesus said : "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do."

So we keep all these morals, and principles, and standards  Good job! We should :) But are we keeping the great commandments of Love which is going to provide us the exaltation. (remember what we talked about J. Smith's sermon)
How do we love our neighbors, by judging them how their outfit is immodest, how their culture is so behind , how their educational level is so low etc. ?

Well, it is true we need to use righteous judgement to chose our friends, our husbands and wives.

For intelligence cleaveth unto intelligence; wisdom receiveth wisdom; truth embraceth truth; virtue loveth virtue; light cleaveth unto light; mercy hath compassion on mercy and claimeth her own; justice continueth its course and claimeth its own; judgment goeth before the face of him who sitteth... (D&C 88:40)

So we need to socialize with those of the same standards.

But when it comes to Service, we should extend it to everyone.
As a disciple of Christ(which is a full-time calling after baptism) , no matter what person is in front of us, with all the weaknesses of the world we are ought to give service, we love them , we support them and we inspire them.

We have the duty as stronger ones (which strength cometh from the Atonement of Christ),to help the wick , that hypocrite that you think that comes to church , that one faithless and that mean friend who is angry with the world.

People I am craving genuine love in here.
That love that is not given in a robotic way of trying to be kind and obedient. That love that radiates from the light within you, that the spirit pours every time you live righteously , and you feel righteously for your fellow beings. We do need to keep the commandments but we need to keep them meaningfully.

After we embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ, we become that Gospel. And through that we'll be the tool in reaching and savings the souls in need.  (Read Alma 17:11)

And for the inactive friends who does not want to come to church because of bad experiences:
I understand that you are naively deceived from the adversary with reasons wich are worthless in comparison of the blessings and promises you receive from the covenants you do with our Father in Heaven.
People forget that they are allowing not only the natural man of exterior circumstances , but also their own natural man to affect and to take them away from Heavenly Father.

Remember people the church that Christ organized? He had a traitor among His own Apostles called Judah. Did Jesus or the Apostle's leave the church because of this bad experience? Did Jesus terminate His mission? Even though He also knew that He would be denied three times from another of His Apostles Peter. (see Matthew 26:69-75), He never gave up His duty to God and His mission.
They were with Him , they saw miracles, they felt Him , how we feel his spirit and truth. But like them and us we are natural man , we tend to forget, we chose to be offended, we are afraid to stand alone. That is why we try to keep reminding ourselves the reasons why we should come to church.

We are not the judges. God is the only judge. And He is going to use this authority when the time comes , when all flesh is going to be satisfied with the Atonement and the Grace of Christ.

Let us be like Jesus ,have charity and love without condition.

Not judge but teach through example !
Let us not joke with our Sacred Covenants For God will not be mocked.
